UK Shipping

UK orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked Next Day Delivery. You will receive a dispatch confirmation email with your tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.

European Shipping

European orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked, with delivery typically taking 3–5 working days. Where complimentary shipping is offered, this covers the cost of delivery only. Any local import duties, taxes or customs charges are not included and remain the responsibility of the recipient. You will receive a dispatch confirmation email with your tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.

USA Shipping

USA orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked, with delivery typically taking 3–5 working days. All applicable duties and taxes are included, so there should be no additional import charges to pay upon delivery. You will receive a dispatch confirmation email with your tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.

International Shipping

International orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked, with delivery typically taking 2–7 working days, depending on the destination. You will receive a dispatch confirmation email with your tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.

Customs & Duties

For destinations outside the UK and USA, orders may be subject to local customs duties, import taxes or other charges upon arrival. These charges are determined by the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient. Any complimentary or free shipping offer covers the cost of delivery and does not include local customs duties or import taxes unless specifically stated otherwise.

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Lethaby website. We aim to make ordering, payment and delivery as straightforward and transparent as possible. Please read these terms before placing an order.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.

Orders

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily constitute acceptance of it.

A contract between you and Charles Lethaby Ltd is formed when your order is accepted and dispatched.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where necessary. This may include circumstances where:

• A product is unavailable.

• Payment cannot be authorised.

• A pricing or product description error has occurred.

• We are unable to fulfil the order for another reasonable commercial or legal reason.

If there is a problem with your order, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Pricing & Payment

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, availability and prices displayed on the website are accurate.

Occasionally, an error may occur. If we discover an error affecting an order you have placed, we will contact you and give you the option to proceed on the corrected basis or cancel the order for a full refund.

Payment is processed securely through our payment providers. Charles Lethaby Ltd does not directly store your full payment card details.

Cancellations & Returns

For most products purchased online, UK consumers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to applicable exclusions.

If you wish to cancel or return an eligible order, please contact us in writing by email with your order details.

Returned products should be returned within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation and should be handled with reasonable care while in your possession.

Unless otherwise stated or required by law, customers are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods.

Personalised & Bespoke Products

The statutory right to cancel does not normally apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you.

This may include products individually engraved, personalised or manufactured specifically to a customer's requirements.

This does not affect your statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

Faulty or Incorrect Products

All products should arrive as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose.

If you receive an incorrect, damaged or faulty product, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details so that we can resolve the issue.

Your statutory rights are not affected by any other returns policy stated on this website.

Delivery

Orders are dispatched using tracked delivery services wherever possible. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Tracking information will be provided when available.

International customers may be responsible for local import duties, taxes or customs charges unless the product or delivery service is specifically stated to include these charges.

Lost Shipments

All orders are shipped using tracked services and, where applicable, are insured according to their value.

If tracking indicates that an order may have been lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible. We will investigate the shipment with the relevant delivery provider and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with your legal rights.

Customers may be asked to provide reasonable information required by the delivery provider to assist with an investigation.

Product Descriptions

Each product is sold subject to the description displayed on its product page.

We take reasonable care to ensure that descriptions, specifications, photographs and prices are accurate. However, colours, finishes and surface characteristics may vary slightly from photographs due to differences in materials, manufacturing processes, lighting and screen displays.

Many Lethaby products are individually machined, engraved, finished or assembled in small batches. Minor variations may therefore occur and form part of the character of the product.

Limited Editions & One-of-One Works

Certain Lethaby products are produced as limited editions or unique one-of-one works.

Where an edition size is stated, this refers to the intended number of pieces produced in that edition. Individual pieces may be numbered, engraved or accompanied by authentication documentation where specified on the relevant product page.

Website Availability

We reserve the right to amend or withdraw products, prices, descriptions or other website content where reasonably necessary.

The appearance of a product on the website does not guarantee that it will remain available.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Privacy & Personal Information

We respect your privacy and process personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Information provided when placing an order may include your name, billing and delivery address, telephone number, email address and order information.

We use this information where necessary to process orders, provide customer service, arrange delivery, maintain appropriate business records and fulfil our legal obligations.

Payment information is processed securely by our payment providers.

Where you have separately agreed to receive marketing communications, we may also use your contact details to send news, product releases and other Lethaby communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

No content from this website may be reproduced, distributed, commercially exploited or used to create derivative commercial products without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

The Lethaby name, trademarks and associated branding may not be used in a way that suggests an association, endorsement or commercial relationship with Charles Lethaby Ltd without permission.

Promotions & Sale Items

Promotional offers, discount codes and sale prices may be subject to specific terms stated at the time of the promotion.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined.

Purchasing an item at a promotional or sale price does not affect a customer's statutory rights.

Returns

We hope you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If you change your mind, most items purchased online may be returned within 30 days of receiving your order, subject to the exclusions below.

Please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to let us know that you wish to make a return. Returned items should be unused, in their original packaging and in a resalable condition.

Unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return delivery. We recommend using a tracked service and retaining proof of postage.

Once your return has been received and inspected, your refund will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 working days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider.

Alternatively, where available, we may be able to arrange an exchange or replacement.

Personalised & Made-to-Order Products

Products made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you cannot normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind. This includes individually engraved or personalised products.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If a personalised or made-to-order product is faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us and we will arrange an appropriate resolution.
